The Motor Fuel Outlet Tour is a signature SIGMA event. You’ll visit several outlets in the San Francisco Bay area and get a chance to study how others do business. With the assistance of a sponsor lunch will be included – if not, you’re “on your own.”
Refinery Tour

Valero Energy Corporation has graciously offered a tour of their Benicia Refinery. You’ll depart from the hotel by motor coach and proceed to the refinery. It’ll be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to tour a state-of-the-art facility. Lunch will be included on this tour.

Chinatown Discovery: An Adventure on Foot

Immerse yourself into Chinese culture by discovering Chinatown on foot! The walking tour will show you the hidden treasures of the area that are impossible to find on your own. Lunch will be on your own time; however, there will be many options to choose from. Following the tour you will have the opportunity to stop at the Ferry Building for shopping where you will find a variety of specialty cheeses to superb chocolates to tea to olive oil. You can also go to the ferry dock in the back of the building and take a ferry to Sausalito or other destinations (ferry tickets are not included in the price of the tour). From the Ferry Building , it is an easy cable car ride back to the hotel when you are ready to go back to the Fairmont.
Splendid Survivors: Inside San Francisco “Painted Ladies”

San Francisco is a living museum of Victorian architecture. These ornate redwood houses, embellished with turrets, bay windows and elaborate trimmings, have survived earthquakes, and fires, as well as changes in personal tastes. We will visit two of the “Painted Ladies” which have been restored to nineteenth century opulence.

This is an 8 hour tour! Enjoy a day exploring the finest wine-producing region in the nation. While visiting two acclaimed and upscale wineries, you will engage in a private guided tour of the winemaking facilities with a focus on the sensory evaluation of the winery’s Reserve or Estate wines.
